A unique delegate experience

Discover Model United Nations at Wycombe Abbey

Wycombe Abbey MUN is our flagship, two-day conference which will be held on Friday 19 – Saturday 20 January 2024.

We aim to offer a uniquely authentic experience, recreating the feeling of a real-life political or diplomatic summit as closely as possible.

Outside of debate, every aspect — from the quality of our food to the social events — has been carefully chosen to deliver an authentic experience.

Testimonials

“WASAMUN is simply the best MUN conference we have attended. It is brilliantly resourced, welcoming and perfect for the intellectually curious. This is a conference for the grown-up MUNer: for those who want more than a competition, but to grow as an individual and learn exactly what diplomacy entails. Every element was meticulously planned with a studentcentric approach. Debate, food, dancing – all set it apart from its rivals. We cannot thank you enough.”

“We have attended quite a few different MUN conferences in the UK over the past 25 years – none have been as well organised, successful in building relationships amongst delegates, and beneficial in the participation and learning of all. Our students benefitted hugely in terms of their personal development. The social events were lovely and the ball was unforgettable! All your students were so kind and welcoming. We would all love to come back!”

Ms S Amaral

“WASAMUN was by far the most well-run and enjoyable Model United Nations conference I’ve been to. From an adviser’s perspective, everything was completely seamless – I don’t want to think of the amount of work that must go in to putting on something so professional! My students had an amazing time. The conference strikes the perfect balance between true academic enrichment and gleeful teenage fun. We can’t wait for next year!”

A place where academic excellence, empathy and integrity thrive

About Wycombe Abbey

Wycombe Abbey is a world leader in girls’ boarding education and a place where academic excellence, empathy and integrity thrive. We are set in 170 acres of conservation-listed parkland and are easily accessible with excellent transport links to Heathrow (30 minutes) and central London (60 minutes).

Built on 125 years’ experience of educating young women, our learning environment is supportive yet challenging, preparing girls to be successful leaders, of themselves and others, through an exceptional school experience. We offer outstanding teaching provided by subject specialists who encourage curiosity, innovation and academic risk-taking. We are consistently one of the country’s top-performing schools and send our pupils on to leading universities globally each year. Every pupil also has opportunities to develop their passions and explore new possibilities through our extensive co-curricular programme which includes art, performing arts, sport, MUN, charity work and a range of trips. We believe that education is not simply about delivering a curriculum and examination syllabus, but that real learning stems from stimulating intellectual interest and nurturing a love for subjects that stays with our pupils throughout their lives.

Boarding is key to our success. We have a culture that stimulates and inspires throughout the week empowering girls to achieve their best, academically and socially. Given the nature of boarding life, girls carve out a unique learning path according to their interests having the space to thrive. Our approach to boarding is sympathetic to the needs of today’s families; girls have the opportunity to go home regularly and parents are actively involved in numerous School events and activities. Our Year 7 pupils start in Junior House to settle into School life, Years 8-12 join one of nine Senior Houses in mixed-age dorms and our Year 13 pupils spend their last year of School together again with their year group, providing independent living; a stepping stone to university life.
